This mock-up was designed for the class DES 112: UI/UX Principles. I created a desktop and mobile homepage of a platform that provides free, creative online activities for tweens to get in touch with their creativity and individuality.
Mission Statement
Encourage 10-12 year olds to find and engage in creative interests that they enjoy.
Brand Promise & Differentiation
The unique solution that the website provides is for tweens to participate in creative, engaging activities that allows them to practice self-expression. In addition, this platform contains free, accessible activities for tweens who may not have access to resources. This platform will be different by being accessible for its intended audience by keeping information concise and simple with eye-catching visuals. This platform will be designed to be legible and eye-catching through larger typography size and incorporating bright colors.
Target Audience
10-12 year olds. They are curious, creative, but simple-minded.
Branding
The website will be entertaining, legible, trustworthy, and engaging.
The website will have colorful, cartoon-like graphics with simplified vocabulary. There will be a wide range of entertaining activities that encourages active participation. There will be a statement to promise a safe, secure online experience.
